God: “Where are you?”
You: “I am coming. I am on the road… I am waiting for the bus…”
That right there is where many of us find ourselves today. At the bus stop. That is where we have been since 20 years ago! Waiting…
We are waiting for something to happen. Meanwhile, God is waiting for us to show up! We are waiting for the economy to be stable. Haha, for those who were once at that bus stop, well, Covid has now placed you on a long thing because that bus isn’t coming along soon. The economy is a hazard at the moment.
Some are waiting for everything to be right. Some were waiting for next year (and it came, 2020, yay, then it was almost a disaster!) Some are waiting to gather enough money. Some are waiting to get married. Some are waiting for the right time, whenever that may be. Some are waiting till they are 40 so that they can enter panic mode.
What are you waiting for?
Life gets full with anxiety and discomfort and distress upon distress. Restlessness. We are all over the place. Our emotions are all over the place. We are waiting for answers to prayers that never took flight in the first place. We are waiting for a miracle. Meanwhile, God is waiting for you to start something.
When are you going to wake up? Start. Then God will show up.
Zechariah 4:10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin.
