Out in the Open

I got quite a bit of feedback yesterday.

Many miss “the silence.”

It is obvious that God is calling out to many and saying, “Come up hither.”

Wisdom is calling out in the market square, at the city gate… Proverbs 1:20-21. These are convergence points, places where everyone is in constant motion, places of busyness, high tension moments and heightened energy moments. Above all there is the NOISE.

Still, that is where Wisdom chooses to go to — out in the open — to get our attention. To call us out of the madness and the carousel of life’s merry-go-round. To call us out of confusion into stillness where we will find the meaning of life and Life everlasting. Be warned, to ignore that call is to walk willfully into menace, confusion and if you persist, disaster! Read Proverbs 1:20-33

Just like Jesus said, Come to me all ye who labor and are heavy laden. I will give you rest…Matt 11:28-29 In another chapter He says, If anyone thirst, let him come to me, I will give him drink. John 7:37

I will like to borrow some words from Bolatito Idakula here: If we don’t PAUSE and just BE STILL in His presence, we would dry out and shrivel up. We will find no strength for tomorrow.

Time to 'take a break' (Like 'Dolu admonishes) not to have a KitKat but with Him.

Time to seek His eternal presence and ever present help.

Shalom.

Proverbs 1: 20-21 Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech…

PS. I made a new friend two nights back… The Lord introduced me to someone — A.W. Tozer (1897-1963). I’m taking this new friendship seriously. Because in only just minutes of meeting him, I knew exactly why God wanted us to meet. The Lord has been leading me to to former acquaintances, and forgotten friendships lately— And all of them in form of books BTW 😄. And now this… I’m drinking in all He will have me learn in this season with great anticipation for what He holds in store for my future.

Take note of those seemingly soft prodding of God. They carry an eternity of goodness for you. If only you will turn aside and listen to what He would say to you.
