Time to recall His faithfulness
There would be times when nothing works out like it should or like you imagined it should. Times when your every plan meets a blockade and your expectations shatter like glass each time reality does not live up to them. There would be disappointments. And there would be broken promises. Sour fantasies. Frail hope. Watered excitement.
When you get to these junctions, it is time to return to center. Time to recall His precious promises and His Word. Time to remember the Joy of your Salvation. Time to lift up your eyes above the waves and sing, “The Lord is my rock, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?”
God is our rock. He is the center of our lives. He is our firm foundation. The Lord is our salvation. Put your trust in God and leave the outcomes to Him, including all expectations, promises and fantasies. He will make all things beautiful in His time.
Habakkuk 3:17-19
Though the fig tree does not blossom
And there are no grapes on the vines,
Though olive crop fails,
And the fields produce no foods
Though there are no sheep in the sheepfolds,
And no cattle in the stalls,
Yet I rejoice in the Lord
I will be joyful in God my Saviour
The Sovereign Lord is my strength
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer
He enables me to tread on the heights
