Be Still

The message intended for today has been intercepted! I hear God say to many - BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.

I sense that many are at a crossroads. They are in dire need for direction. There is confusion and a question lingers — Why is God not speaking to me? Why can’t I hear God?

God is saying, you are like little Samuel, you are distracted by the many other voices in your life. But if you will be still, and listen, you will hear me speak. But like little Samuel, it wouldn’t be the first the time I would be speaking… It was however the first time little Samuel waited in anticipation for My voice.

God is asking many to be STILL. Seek Him with all your heart. Wait in anticipation for His voice. God is saying to many, Be still and hear what the Lord will say to you. Be still and know that I AM God.

In my February 1st email, I began by saying, “Welcome to February, let us hear what the Lord will say to us…Selah.” I didn’t realize however that that was the word for February. But as I sort His face moments ago in my alone time with the Lord, I heard Him clearly:

BE STILL AND HEAR WHAT THE LORD WILL SAY TO YOU. BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.

He says, I will come to you at intersections, I will come to you at crossroads, I will come to you at the place of transitions, I will come to you at the moment of evolution, I will come to you in the dew of the morning, I will come to you at the break of the dawn and in the cool of the day…. And you will know what the Lord is saying!

These scenarios are typically moments of confusion and indecision, and blackouts. But God is saying, right there at that moment when crazy is all you can phantom, I WILL COME TO YOU, AND YOU WILL KNOW WHAT THE LORD IS SAYING.

He is asking for us to BE STILL…

Isn’t it amazing what God does in the place of intercession? I mean I was praying for my long list of sisters, 22 to be precise. And then as I sort His face for different and diverse situations, I began to hear the Lord speak answers for a certain sister and out of that flow came a precise and clear word for February — BE STILL AND HEAR WHAT THE LORD WILL SAY TO YOU.

God wants to speak to us much more than we wish to hear Him. He is calling diligent God seekers this February. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. And it will come from the place of intercession.

If you are going through a peculiar problem, don’t get carried away by your need. Seek God, praying for other believers who go through the same trial as you and pray for their succor. For in it lies your deliverance. You don’t have to know them by name, just call on God on their behalf and watch God work His greatness through you and in you.

A testimony about the power of intercession

My mum called me yesterday and shared a testimony about how many nights back she was awoken by a severe pain in one of her legs, and how her hip bone had shifted and was swollen. She couldn’t walk. In fact the pain was so bad she feared she would never walk again. But instead of staying in the place of self pity and defeat, she began to pray for the sick, and those in the hospitals on admission and suffering critical illnesses. And she said, in no time the pain ceased and the swollen hip reverted back to normal instantly!

I was so encouraged by her testimony, my spirit was lifted. My sisters, be encouraged. God is much more interested in speaking to you than you desire to hear Him. Only be still...

Selah.

1 Peter 5:6-11

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
