Last week alone, I received two ember related pieces from two different people. I don’t think it is a coincidence. In fact, after reading the first one, I decided immediately that I was going to share it with you all. Then I got a WhatsApp message from my brother that he had posted a piece on Facebook with a title with Ember in it. I was glad. Well then, I thought to myself; isn’t that lovely? #Myemberseries are growing bigger with rich content. It is indeed going to be an enriching December!! If you have your own ember musing to share, please feel free to. Send an email and I will share with everyone. Today, be refreshed with Relics of Hope by Olumide Campbell.

We are embers... We are dying flames, We once were bright fiery signals to a darkened world. We once were hope and warmth to a decaying system, But now....we are embers, relics of yesterdays glory. Every member is a hope of what was, and a hope of what may yet be.

Every ember can be an Ebenezer, an Alter to remembrance. However, every ember needs a fanner. Sometimes its prophetic words that fan the ember, sometimes its the kindness of a stranger, sometimes its the fellowship of the saints (iron sharpening iron, ember rubbing ember). Sometimes its the voice of the Spirit, from deep within our belly. Whatever it is, the ember cannot fan itself. Every ember needs a Fan.  - Olumide Campbell
