He Hides

When we take for granted the warnings and prodding and nudging of the Holy Spirit. Then He withdraws. He Hides. He wants to get your attention. When our insensitivity leads us into forbidden territory, we exit on the other side only to realise that we are alone.

Where has my Shepherd gone? Who has seen Him whom my soul loves? I can still smell His perfume, Upon the handles of the bolts. Surely He was here, But now He is gone. Hidden from sight!
