God knows. Jesus knows too. And the Holy Spirit has been trying to let you know that He knows just what to do. What are you waiting for? What have you prayed for that is so long in coming? You are distressed and wearied by your worry. You think He doesn't know where it hurts. You think He doesn't know how much it costs. You think He doesn't know what you've lost. You think He doesn't know... You fight and you quarrel, and you complain because you think He doesn't know how urgent it is... this thing that you need... this thing that needs to be solved right away. You wonder if He didn't see your tears or hear your wailings. You wonder if He thinks your pain is false or your writhing is fake. You wonder if He hears at all... I'm here to tell you that God Knows. And that He knows what to do. In fact, He knows just what to do. He is not running late. Even though it seems so. God is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness. I am learning something about God and I will like you to learn it too. Yield to your process and He will impart this knowledge into you. It will help you way and beyond what words could ever express. Here it goes... When you pray or when you have prayed, leave it there at His feet and go about your business. Be certain that He has heard. Only do not think that He would bring answers the way you have imagined it. He never ever does bring answers in the way we imagine it. Perhaps it is His way of showing off - shakara God! - He likes to take and own the stage. Learn to let go and let God. Lately, I am learning that when God answers it always comes at the perfect time. But before that perfect-time-answer comes, I would have worried and worried and almost died. Yet I claim I have prayed. So, lately I began to pay close attention to my testimonies... I realized that the answers didn't come when I expected them, yet their coming was no more than a perfect timing. And what that tells me simply is this: He Knows. God knows. God knows what to do. God knows what He is doing. He is not running late. He never runs late. He is never late. He is always on time. You just haven't taken time to observe the pattern of your miracles and testimonies. And in this season of miracles, we will do well to wait on the Lord (for real!) after we have said our prayers. The Israelites, after they left Egypt, conquered their enemies one nation at a time. They must have wondered why it suddenly became so hard for God to give them the nations in one big-blue-moon; wasn't He the same God who killed Egypt's first borns in one night, and split the Red sea in a moment? How come He is now hiding in the wilderness? Showing up one battle at a time! Here God's reply to that thought:
27 “I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion among all the people to whom you come, and will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. 28 And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite from before you. 29 I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. Exodus 23:27-29 God is not slow in keeping His promises as some understand slowness. If and when things delay in February, do not think that He is slow. No, He isn't. He is mindful of you. He is thinking about consequences and hazards like desolation and wild beasts... He is thinking of what would best match His perfect will for you. Be patient!
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
