Bonjour,
I am learning something about God in this season and it is called Trust. Proverbs 3:5 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and LEAN NOT on your own understanding.
It is also called Faith; Hebrews 11:1-2 Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things NOT SEEN. This is what the ancients were commended for.
By faith, Abel offered a better sacrifice, by faith Enoch walked with God and was taken, by faith Noah built the ark, by faith Abraham sort a city whose builder and maker is God, by faith Rahab hid the spies, by faith… the list goes on. (READ Hebrews 11). And without faith it is impossible to please God, Hebrews 11:6, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
I am learning something about God in this season and it is called Faith, Trust and Works.
The ancients; our ancestors lived by faith and that faith spurred their actions, because they believed God; so they trusted Him enough to leap out into the unknown. They trusted that He is Who He says He is, whether He showed up or not. They trusted Him and lived their lives taking step after step into the unknown. By this same faith, some were stoned, hacked to death, sawed in half, thrown into fire, and fed to the lions. Even when He didn’t show up, it didn’t shake their faith. They trusted Him still…
Here in my little corner, I find the footprints of faith, growing in their numbers, Hallelujah!! Look what I found in my journal as I prayed and meditated in the early hours of today:

That which withheld the flow of my writing is being removed. That which withheld the the full functionality of my laptop is being removed. That which withheld the publishing of my ebooks is being removed! That which withheld the full functionality of my ebook shelf website is being removed! In the name of Jesus Hallelujah! I do not despair, it is time to rejoice.
O M G! I wish I could tell you the story of my days of lethargy, and how everything seemed to work against me living my full potential. Time will not allow us. But you see, after my birthday and the fasting period that preceded it, I began to seek the face of God and crying out to loosed from that state of slumber. And in just four (4) days, I began to write again, published my first ebook, and in 12 days, published two of my ebooks! So you can imagine my joy as I read that piece today, with almost no memory of writing it. But I do remember that that morning I was having my prayers and simultaneously reading posts on “Elijah List” and one of the messages had spurred that prayer.
The process has been exhilarating but its been tedious cos I’ve not allowed myself sleep. But through it all I literally had directives form the Holy Spirit, telling me “do this, do that… go here… click that…” and that was how I go the process through and finally got the books out. With a ton on the way…
What then is faith? It is not anything that we do in our power. It is simply trusting God and taking steps into the unknown because you trust Him and believe that He is Who He says He is.
Won’t you reinforce your trust in God today? Have faith. And be comforted that the same faith you have is the same very faith the ancients had. So be of good cheer. Have faith. Trust God. And take action. For faith without works is dead.
James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Selah.
