Ha! I have seen this song at work in my life and in the next couple of days I will be sharing the events of the last couple of weeks (during my silence). I have watched God’s word come alive in my dealings with people at work. In fact, I have witnessed for real, spiritual interactions related to that of Daniel in Babylon. I have had my faith tested, my character tried, and I’ve watched God increase me in wisdom and understanding. I’ve also learned to trust God. As in, truly trust God. I’ve found myself at crossroads with no clue where to turn or do and I’m forced to look up and surrender. I’ve gone to bed uncertain and clueless as to how to face the giant and his boastful threats. Only to wake, go to work and watch God show up with His mighty and outstretched arm.
I have tasted of His power.
It is the most beautiful thing that can ever happen to anyone who knows Him. It is indeed a wonder to stand aside and watch God unfurl events like the ultimate mastermind that He is. It's like watching the of shufJing of a deck of cards in the hands of a pro. You never know what to expect and so every move leaves you stunned in awe. He is indeed the God of awesome wonder!
He has shown me so much mercy, much more than I deserve.
God’s ways are not our ways and the more I learn that truth the more humbled I become. We struggle, and bicker and Fght because we want to have our way but the one who fears the Lord will understand that to struggle with God is to struggle in vain. But to surrender is wise. Because our plans may be many but they are futile only God’s purpose stands.
His mercy is beautiful. It is comforting. It is a hammer that breaks your resolve and a rod that guides you into obedience. God is indeed an awesome wonder. And my heart rejoices in Him. I pray that the following series would encourage your hearts to trust God more and to fear Him more in Jesus name. Amen.
Deuteronomy 5:29 Oh that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever.
