God rejoices over your prayer requests and He moves to answer them according to His will.
If you ever doubt that God answers prayers, try keeping a prayer journal. It’s a constant reminder of what you’ve prayed for and how God has answered over the years. I try to keep a prayer journal and when I want a good laugh or when I’m discouraged or disappointed, I pull out my prayer journal and I read it. A prayer journal will help to remind you of God’s faithfulness, His love and His constant ‘being there’ (omni-presence) in your life.
It’s really easy to start a prayer journal; all you need is a notebook. Write in your prayer requests from the tiny whinny smallest ones to the really big stuff. And then when you recognise an answer to your prayer request, write the date beside your prayer request. It’s really easy.
Some of the entries in my prayer journal include things like: “Dear God please let my aunt have a baby; she’s waited for thirty years.” And then I have some that are a bit naughty — when I look back at this prayer request for instance, I burst out laughing. I wrote, “Please and please, I want all my spots and pimples gone by December, widen out my hips and backside, and can I grow just a little bit taller please.”
The only rule about your prayer journal is this: be completely honest with your Heavenly Father, just pour out your heart to Him. Trust me, God loves your honesty and one of these days you can both laugh at your silly requests and rejoice at the answers to your prayers. So start writing and have a wonderful day.
Yours in love, MOI
