Bonjour,
The igbo people have a popular saying that goes – “whatever time you wake up that is your morning” or something close that. Which is to say, our daybreaks are not the same, they are different. It all depends on when each one decides to wake up.
So, my question for you today goes thus – “are you still asleep?”
If you are then the night is still upon you; the season of the wait that bears no process but dormancy. Barrenness. Dew without a harvest. Nothingness. Emptiness. Death. Death? Oh yes, death indeed. Here is why…
Ephesians 5:14 instructs us:
Awake O sleeper!
Rise from the dead,
And Christ will shine on you.
If you aren’t awake to life and to purpose then you are dead to it. And we must work (live a life of purpose) whilst it is day, for the night cometh when no man can work. Albeit, some live in the night only for they are still asleep!
Stop waiting for something to happen before you begin that thing that burns so passionately within you. Stop giving excuses. Stop laying blames. Stop sinking further into oblivion. Time to wake up! Time to Live!
It is time to stop the complaining. No one is better than you. They only woke up before you. They have long gone past their morning. It is probably 3pm in their life season. And here you are, still asleep.
Awake O sleeper!
Selah.
