Be deliberate; put the pieces back together.

Bonjour,

Yesterday we talked about the word Remember and how to be thankful by remembering the little miracles and the big miracles. And all together express gratitude and dispel regrets. I also said that the word ‘remember’ is a cluster of meanings to me. One is to recall. The other is to re-member…to put back together. Today, I want you to consider your relationships; broken pieces and broken hearts. Areas where you have fallen out of sync. Broken vases, shattered glass; with splinters inflicting bruises each time you try to pick up the pieces. Places where the surfaces are raw and the edges are jagged ready for war. It is time to re-member. Be deliberate; put the pieces back together. Find out the missing links, missing parts of the puzzle. Find answers. Pray. Seek peace. Send a text. Pick up your phone, dial that number. Say, ‘Happy holidays… I love you.’ Send season greetings. Plan a holiday trip home to reunite with your loved ones.

And if you know two parties at war be the peace maker. Re-member them. Whatever you do, be reminded, this December is a time to re-member; a time to put back together. Speak peace. They may be for war but remember, you are for peace. Psalm 120: 7

I am for peace; but when I speak they want war.
