Are you engaging the angelic princes? They are our aide in this life. Life shouldn’t be so difficult.

Bonjour,

Back here in Yenagoa, our work started with a major challenge! Rain! Rain! Rain! Our guide will say to us- Ha! Welcome to Bayelsa, it rains without warning. So my initial worry was- Ha! When are we going to finish this work and when are we going to leave?

So I sent messages to a few friends telling them the situation and asking them to pray. I asked for clear weather. I specifically remember saying to the Lord in my prayer- it can rain after our work is done for the day but not before. And funny that day, it actually did rain after we had retired to our hotels.

But something wasn’t quite right. We had hazy clouds, and there wasn’t quite sun light. So it wasn’t a good enough weather for the photographers.

This was a set back because we would be out all day and do very little because the weather wasn’t favorable. This went on for days. I got so frustrated- something had to be done about this. Then after calling up a friend and praying together over the phone- making declarations over the weather- I still felt the need to make specific declarations. So, I said emphatically- Angelic Princes of Bayelsa, I summon you. I need blue skies and sun. Give me blue skies and sun. I need my work to go on. No delays. In Jesus name.

Then I went about my work for the day. I did a few interviews which took the whole day. The next day we were going out to the field and the guys were like- Bukkie if the weather is clear then we will shoot.By the following morning, my colleague calls me and says, we can go out now. The sun is out.

I looked out the window, and behold, there were blue skies and sun! I was thankful. Just thankful at first, then I remembered the day before and the declaration I had made. I also remembered writing in my prayer journal, these words:

Lord, I wrote, Remember Aime Semple McPherson, she caught a cloud in a bottle for her kids to play with. Lord give me blue skies. And Lord, thank you for holding back the rains!! I love you.

This journal entry was on October 27th and I made the declaration on the same day. And on the 28th I had blue skies and sun!

There wasn’t a single complaint from the crew. Except that they were tired and so took two breaks. My heart is filled with gratitude.

So, please, I beg you. When in a tight corner, it is not the time to yield to the challenges. Rather, it is time to engage!

Selah.

Isaiah 37:36 Then the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning–there were all the dead bodies!

Joshua 10:12 On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.”
