A new season is upon me, a new adventure awaits me...

I will like to pause today and reflect on the goodness of God in my life. My life has taken many turns, a few bends, a few detours, some highs and lows, and from time to time a spin or two. Our God is a faithful God. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies. My cup overflows. Thou anoints my head with oil.

That is my solemn prayer of thanksgiving unto God as I remember His goodness unto me and my family on this day the 17th November, 2018. For it is exactly one year today, since I packed my bags and relocated to Bayelsa state in answer to the job offer that had come 10 days earlier, on November 7, 2017.

I have experienced growth, increase and a measure of God’s favor that I’m unworthy of. I am thankful to God for 12 months of God’s supernatural. I witnessed His deliverance in many ways. God was near always. 12 months of God’s supply. His supply was tangible. His provision was more than sufficient. He knew every need before its wake. His provision was never late. 12 months of God’s protection. In a city where crime was prevalent, God shielded my husband and I so that no evil overcame us. 12 months of good heath. Our bones waxed strong, never for once was money spent on fighting sickness. The devourer remains at bay. 12 months of victory. For He has made my enemies to be at peace with me. The raging clouds parted and the sun beamed right through triumphantly. 12 months of His presence. We have seen His glory. Day after day His mercies are new every morning.

12 months. And already I as I observe this completion of seasons, of cycles and circles, I sense the breaking of a new dawn. Another adventure awaits me as a new season is without a doubt upon me. And I write this letter of thanksgiving unto my God as a memorial unto Him. For I shall yet return again to sing a new song unto my God.
