"The God Who Remembers"

I know that by just reading the line above, your heart is searching each word as you read further for how God will remember you this season. That isn’t my thought this morning… well, it was actually that when the thought first came, but it soon changed as I began to process the thought.

I stumbled across a story this morning, another holocaust story, and then I understood why I am always led to share my experiences with God. It is an act of remembrance. A solemn, spiritual act of worship where you “Remember the Lord your God who ***” FILL IN THE GAPS yourself.

For the Israelites, He is the God who brought them out of Egypt. For you, “He is…” You know who He is. You can tell by looking at your experiences. He is the God who healed you. The God who supplied your need. The God who delivered you from destruction. The list goes on. Why not pick up a pen and write down Who He is to you. Remember the Lord your God…

So, this morning I am asking God to multiply this thought in my heart. Which is to continually remember the Lord My God in all circumstances.

Look what I found this morning. It made my heart dance a sacred dance unto the Lord! It reads:

“…whatever we receive we must share. When we endure an experience, the experience cannot stay with me alone. It must be opened, it must become an offering, it must be deepened and given and shared.” - Elie Wiesel

Those words contain perhaps the most significant message for my life’s work as a scribe. And I’m grateful to have stumbled over them this morning.

May my life continue to be an unshielded offering unto the Lord. A sweet and a fragrant sacrifice. Amen.

I pray same for you also.

Today, Remember the Lord your God. Share your testimonies, small and large. Offer worship unto Jehovah.

Shalom.

Deuteronomy 8:11-18  Take care that you do not forget the Lord your God, by failing to keep his commandments, his ordinances, and his statutes, which I am commanding you today. When you have eaten your fill and have built fine houses and live in them, and when your herds and flocks have multiplied, and your silver and gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied, then do not exalt yourself, forgetting the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, an arid waste-land with poisonous snakes and scorpions. He made water flow for you from flint rock, and fed you in the wilderness with manna that your ancestors did not know, to humble you and to test you, and in the end to do you good. Do not say to yourself, ‘My power and the might of my own hand have gained me this wealth.’ But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, so that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your ancestors, as he is doing today.
